WHAT’S INCLUDED

Guide

One fully qualified, certified and experienced mountain guide who speaks Spanish and English if required, andwho holds a first aid certificate in mountain rescue.

Cook

A professional cook who prepares a wide variety of healthy and delicious dishes, and who is trained to cook in a hygienic manner accompanies group of more than 4 people.

Muleteer

The muleteer (arriero) is in charge of loading the donkeys, looking after them and guiding them to camp.

Donkeys

The number of donkeys provided depends on the size of de the group.

You are allowed to bring up to 6 kg of personal belongings that will be loaded on the donkeys. You will only carry your daypack during the day.

Emergency Horse

One horse accompanies the group for emergency purposes.

Meals

All food during the expeditions is provided as part of the package. We offer a combination of peruvian and western dishes. The varied, good-quality, high-energy food prepared by our professional cook is specifically suited to rigorous activity.  We also regularly accommodate vegetarian, vegan, kosher, non-gluten and other specialty diets.

Private Transport

From you hotel in huaraz to the starting point of trek, an from the finishing point of the trek back to your hotel in Huaraz.

Day 01: : Huaraz – Chiquian – Cuartelwuain (4180m).

Departure 7:30 a.m.
We are going south of Huaraz passing with views of the towns of Chiquian, Llamac, Pocpa, Cuartelwuain.
The trip takes 5 to 6 hours, and the field.

Day 02: Cuartelwuain – Paso Kacanan 4680m – Lake Carhuacocha (4138m).

Breakfast
A challenge we started to climb to Kacanan pass the view of the valleys.
We descend through the warm valley then go up to the Carhua pass where we have the view of Yerupaja down the Yanayana valley to the Carhuacocha field.
The walk lasts 9 to 10 hours

Day 03: Lake Carhuacocha – Paso Siula 4830m – Huayhuash (4350m).

Breakfast
Drive through the Carhua valley to the viewpoint where we have the beautiful view of the three lakes. Quisillococha, Siulacocha, Gangrajaca.
We continue route to Siulapunta pass to appreciate the majestic Siula and Yerupaja.
Descent through the butcher valley to the Huayhuash field.

Day 04: Huayhuash – Paso Portachuelo Huayhuash 4700m – Lake Viconga (4300).

Breakfast.
Ascent much to the passage of the small door with Trapeze view, Puscanturpa, and the Cordillera Raura.
You descend through the valley through the Viconga lake, and the thermal baths.
The hike lasts 5 hours, and relax in the thermal baths of Viconga.

Day 05: Lake Viconga – Paso Cruz Punta (4200m) – Cajatambo (3375m).

Breakfast.
We went through the pumarinri valley passing through some Andean dwellings.
Then cross point cross where we have the view of the Huayhuash mountain range.
Descent in sicsac to the city of Cajatambo, the walk lasts 7 to 8 hours.

Day 06: Cajatambo – Lima or Huaraz

Breakfast.
Private or public transportation to the city of Lima or Huaraz
The trip lasts from 7 to 8 hours.
